2012 Fire Block Old Vine Shiraz

Totally opaque midnight black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Pronounced aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark chocolate bound from the glass with underlying nuances of dark plums, toasty vanillin oak and spice also present. Full bodied the palate boasts a rich sumptuous flavour profile of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark chocolate followed by vanillin oak and spice. Plush and textured with velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, dark chocolate, ripe blackberries and spicy vanillin oak. Bursting with fruit this is a delicious, very appealing effort.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
