2012 Felton Road Bannockburn Pinot Noir

Shows excellent depth of colour with a near opaque dark red black tinged core and a dark crimson red purple hue. This wine was aged for 11 months in French oak barrels from highly regarded Burgundian coopers. Excellent perfumed lift with ripe dark cherry and dark plum aromas exuding from the glass followed by hints of anise, toasty oak and spice. The palate features abundant richness as well as magnificent persistence and power with mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark plums intermixed with some spicy anise and subtle toasty oak. Velvet smooth tannins and fleshy in texture. Very long dark cherry, dark plum, spicy anise and cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years (2019-2020).
