2012 Fairbank Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Matured in small French oak barrels. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. Ripe blackcurrant and black cherry scents intermix with earthy black olive, toasty cedar and dried herb notes. Compact palate with dry rustic tannins overwhelming the finish. Flavours of blackcurrant infused with earthy black olives are followed by toasty cedar and spice. Dry, grippy conclusion with a slightly bitter and short aftertaste of scorched earth, black olives, toasty cedar and spice.
