2012 Ellis Wines Signature Label Viognier

Forty percent of this wine was partially barrel fermented and matured in French oak barrels for 5 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a slight tinge of green around the edges and a watery hue. Nosing reveals dried apricot and honeysuckle aromas followed by some bees wax and light spice. The palate features flavours of apricot and lemon honey over honeysuckle and spice with enough acidity to keep the finish fresh. Waxy mouthfeel with an aftertaste of apricot, lemon honey, honeysuckle and light spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
