Matured in a combination of new and old French and American oak barriques for 12 months.
Opaque inky black purple colour with a dark purple hue. The nose offers up ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum aromas over some toasty vanillin oak and spice. Rich and well endowed with ripe fruit the palate delivers flavours of blackberries and liquorice followed by some dark plum, vanillin oak and spice. Very fine grained velvet like tannins with a long aftertaste of liquorice, dark plum, vanillin oak and spice.
