2012 Eldredge RL Cabernet Sauvignon

Richly flavoured and perfectly structured this is a Superb Clare Valley Cabernet with a long cellaring life ahead of it.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Shiraz aged in a combination of American and French oak. Outstanding colour displaying an impenetrable black dark red core with a very deep dark crimson red black hue. The nose shows excellent intensity with aromas of ripe blackcurrants, liquorice and choc mint to the fore followed by some vanillin cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied with superb richness, balance and finesse the palate is awash with perfectly ripened blackcurrant fruit alongside some liquorice and dark chocolate with underlying vanillin cedar and spice. Slightly dryish finish with a firmly built wall of tannins providing the ideal framework for the wealth of fruit. Marvellous concentration and power with a very long conclusion of ripe blackcurrant, choc mint, vanillin cedar and spice. Double Gold winner at the International Wine Challenge Melbourne
