2012 Douglas Laing & Co. Provenance Caol Ila 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Apart from a burst of official releases since 2002, there have been literally thousands of indie Caol Ilas come to market, testimony to the quality and popularity of this Islay queen. And given how good young Caol Ila can be, this is likely one of the bargains in Douglas Laing's latest shipment. Their notes read: "Aromas of polished oak floors, developing seaweed and candied toffee apple followed by flavours of stewed fruits and bbq'd meat with a salty tang and Islay barley." 797 bottles were drawn from a refill butt and bottled without chill filtration in September 2020.
