2012 Dominique Portet Cabernet Sauvignon

Excellent colour displaying a totally opaque inky black crimson core with a dark purple red hue. The nose displays lifted aromas of ripe blackcurrants alongside some black olives with a smoky cedar overlay followed by cigar box and spice. Medium weight the palate possesses rich blackcurrant flavours on the front palate followed by black olives, smoky cigar box and spice. Good length with sturdy but fine grained tannins showing good integration. Medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, black olive, smoky cedar and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
