Matured in a mix of new and used French and American oak for a period of 12-18 months. Midnight black heart with a dark red hue. Dark plum and liquorice aromas meld into toasty vanillin cedar, earth, leather and subtle pepper notes. Medium to full bodied the palate is generously endowed with dark plum and liquorice fruits which are intermeshed with earthy vanillin oak, leather and blackpepper characters. Drying, slightly grippy tannins with a chewy finish that’s interspersed with tertiary characters.
