2012 Claymore Wines Bittersweet Symphony Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet contains a 7% Malbec component and spent 18 months maturing in oak. Superb colour saturation displaying an inky black core with a deep dark crimson black hue. The nose offers up very ripe blackcurrant aromas intermixed with black cherries and some dark plum followed by traces of liquorice and spicy cedar. Dense and rich the palate delivers a full bodied experience of ripe blackcurrant, dark cherries and a hint of liquorice over a cedary background with a touch of tobacco also present and a spicy finish. Solid chewy tannins provide good structure. Long blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedary tobacco and spice aftertaste.
