2012 Clayfield Grampians Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Intense ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum scents drift through the nostrils followed by hints of dark chocolate, vanillin oak, leather and light spicy earth. Medium to full bodied and opulent yet refined in its mouthfeel, the richly flavoured palate is decorated with ripe blackberries, dark plums, liquorice and dark chocolate underpinned by vanillin oak, earth and spicy mocha. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent depth with a long conclusion of ripe dark fruits, dark chocolate, faintly smoked vanillin oak, earthy leather and spicy mocha.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
