Matured for 2 years in a combination of French and American oak barrels. Opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. Aromas of dark plum and liquorice are followed by some vanillin confectionary, very light toast and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate offers up rich liquorice flavours followed by some dark plum, toasty vanillin oak and spice. Slightly dryish finish with very fine grained tannins. Good depth with medium to long liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.
