Deep dark purple red colour with a tinge of black on the edges and a dark purple hue. Aromas of fresh dark cherries and plum are intermixed with a hint of liquorice, earth and spice. Medium weight with a soft mouth feel initial dark cherry and subtle liquorice flavours are over ran by smoky vanillin oak with some spice on the finish. Soft fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of smoky vanillin oak, subtle liquorice and spicy earth.
