2012 Bruichladdich Islay Barley Unpeated Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The Islay Barley 2012 distillate was produced using barley grown on Islay in 2011 by eight farmers from western and central farms, which was dried, malted and distilled in 2012. Left unpeated and matured in a mix of first-fill American whiskey casks (75%) and French wine casks (25%) for a minimum of eight years, it's described as having aromas of citrus fruits and coconut, leading to salty, charred oak, caramel and brown sugar flavours on the finish. Like the earlier releases, it's bottled at high strength and non chill filtered. 50% Alc./Vol.
