Opaque black dark red colour with a very dark crimson red hue. Aromas of ripe black plum and cassis like characters are followed by a touch of liquorice and scorched earth. Full in body and very ripe the palate has flavours of blackcurrant and dark plums followed by some cedary tobacco like characters and spicy earth. Dryish finish with relatively firm tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrants, cedar and spicy earth.
