Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. The nose offers up aromas of very ripe blackcurrants and liquorice with a cedary overlay followed by a hint of tobacco and spice end notes. Full bodied the palate possesses excellent fruit concentration with a rich ripe flavour profile of blackcurrant and liquorice over cedary tobacco characters and spice. Dryish finish with solidly built, slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrants, cedary tobacco characters, earth and spice.
