Matured in a combination of French and American oak barrels for 18 months. Opaque black dark crimson colour with a dark crimson black tinged hue. The nose displays ripe blackcurrant top notes intermixed with a hint of liquorice followed by some cedar, a faint whiff of earth and spice. Medium weight the palate features generous blackcurrant and dark chocolate flavours over a background of cedar and spice. Fine grained tannins with an aftertaste of blackcurrant, dark mulberries and spicy cedar.
