2012 Bouvet-Ladubay Zero Extra Brut

Produced from Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay Zero Extra Brut is Bouvet’s no dosage Sparkling. Bone dry, fresh and crisp it’s ideal as an aperitif. Pours well with a creamy white mousse that shows good staying power. Once dissipated it reveals a pale straw coloured base wine with a touch of pale gold around the edges. The bead is exceptionally fine and very persistent. Aromas of citrus and hints of baked apple are overlaid by subtle yeasty characters with a light breadiness following up the rear. Possessing a very fine, lacy mouthfeel and finishing very dry, flavours of pear, baked apple and citrus dance elegantly across the palate with delicate baked bread characters and yeast lees ensuing. Refreshing crisp acidity with an aftertaste of pears and citrus intertwined with light baked bread characters and yeast lees.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
