2012 Beechworth Wine Estates Shiraz

Opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of liquorice and subtle blackberries are overlaid by some smoky oak and dried meat characters with peppery end notes. Medium bodied with upfront blackberry and liquorice flavours the palate has a sense of elegance about it. Underlying smoked meat characters and pepper follow. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of liquorice and peppered smoked meats.
