2012 Alexandre Filaine Cuvee Sensuum Vertigo Champagne

Hailing from Damery in the Montagne de Reims, Champagne Alexandre Filaine started out as a side project for Bollinger winemaker Fabrice Gass with production a relatively modest 4000 bottles a year. Taking cues from his time at Bollinger, the 2012 vintage cuvee Sensuum Vertigo is composed of 30% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir, and 20% Pinot Meunier, and is vinified in old barrels before ageing under cork for five years. Dosage is a low 5g/L, and there were only 300 bottles produced.
