2011 Tyrrell's Wines Stevens Shiraz

Matured in French oak. Deep dark purple black tinged colour with a bright dark purple hue. The nose has an aromatic profile of dark plums, dark cherries and a hint of liquorice with a faint touch of underlying earth and spice end notes. Medium bodied the palate has flavours of ripe dark cherries alongside some fresh plum followed by some meaty earth like characters and spice. Bright acidity on the finish with very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of dark plums, some meatiness and spice.
