2011 Signatory Vintage Orkney (HP) 14 Year Old 100 Proof Edition #59 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The second 'secret' Orkney in our direct import Signatory consignment is an unusual bottling matured in Palo Cortado casks. You could think of this relatively rare sherry style as a bridge between the elegance of Amontillado and the richness of Oloroso, imparting a combination of dryness, nutty intensity and vibrant fruitiness. Whether much of that character will carry through to the whisky will be interesting to find out. Good reviews for both HP editions in this shipment.
