2011 Saint Damien Cotes Du Rhone Vieilles Vignes

Opaque black dark red colour with dark purple hue. Youthful black cherry and freshly crushed raspberry emerge on the nose followed by some meaty characters and a hint of liquorice. Youthful but possessing plenty of richness the palate delivers flavours of ripe dark raspberry, spice and liquorice with some peppery characters on the back palate. Soft very fine grained tannins. Good depth with long spicy dark raspberry, liquorice and meaty earth aftertaste. A rich joosy Cotes du Rhone offering.
