Matured for 15 months in a combination of French and American oak. Deep black dark red colour with dark red hue. Nosing reveals youthful inky plum, dark cherry, subtle liquorice and spice scents. Medium to full bodied and surprisingly generous and rich considering the challenging vintage and the wines price point, the palate has flavours of dark plum, dark cherries, a touch of liquorice and toasty oak. Soft and plushly textured with fine supple tannins. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, plums, liquorice and toasty oak.
