2011 Pepper Tree Merlot

Deep dark red colour with crimson red hue. The nose displays mint infused mulberry top notes followed by some bay leaf and subtle spicy cedar. Quite light weight and on the lean side the palate has flavours of mulberries, bay leaf and cherries over some delicate cedar. Dry finish with ever so slightly chalky tannins. Moderate length with aftertaste of mulberry, bay leaf and spice. A rather uninspiring effort.
