It's a shame this underdog varietal is not more widely produced as when done properly, it makes a refreshing alternative to unwooded Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc. Brilliant pale straw colour with watery hue. Aromas of pear, tropical fruits, citrus and a touch of spice. The palate is full with generous tropical and ripe pear flavours dominate followed by some citrus and spice. Clean medium dry finish with aftertaste of tropical fruit, ripe pear and spice.
Drink now while this wine is at its freshest (2012).
