2011 Knappstein Hand Picked Riesling

The fruit for this excellent Riesling is sourced from a selection of vineyards situated mainly around the Watervale sub-region of the Clare Valley, including Knappstein’s Ackland Vineyard with vine ages ranging from approximately 10- 30 years old.

A superb follow up to the outstanding 2010 vintage.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with watery hue. The nose displays fragrant top notes of lime and lemon followed by some orange rind and a hint of talc showing excellent intensity. The palate exhibits mouthwatering lime and lemon flavours followed by a touch of orange rind with a crisp minerally dry finish. Long aftertaste of lemon, lime and mineral.
Drink now or cellar 5-6 years (2011-2017)
