2011 Douglas Laing & Co. Provenance Teaninich 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
While not known for complexity, Teaninich is generally a high quality, reliably fruity, textural distillate that works best when matured in Bourbon barrels. Based in the Northern Highlands, a major expansion in 2015 made it the third largest distillery in Diageo's group, which highlights how important it is to the company (most of the production still goes into the Johnnie Walker blends). One of the youngest expressions to ever land on our shelves is this eight year old from Douglas Laing. They describe it as having fresh and clean aromas and a creamy, nutty palate including flavours of vanilla essence, peaches and honeyed orchard fruits. Sounds delicious! We have a small number of the 388 bottles that were drawn from a single refill hogshead. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
