2011 Cullen Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

A blend of two thirds Cabernet Sauvignon and one third Merlot with 85% of the wine being matured in French oak barrels for 18 months. Opaque black dark crimson red colour with dark crimson red purple hue. The nose exhibits aromas of ripe mulberry, tobacco, cedar and spice. Medium weight the palate flavours show good ripeness with dark mulberry and blackcurrant intermingling over a background of tobacco, cedar and spice. Fine grained solidly built tannins provide good structure. Excellent length with long dark mulberry, cedar, tobacco and spice aftertaste.
