Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and black olives are followed by some cedary tobacco characters and spice. Medium bodied and elegantly built the palate has flavours of subtle blackcurrant overlaid with black olives followed by some toasty cedar and spicy tobacco. Dryish finish with chewy, slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of black olives, subtle blackcurrant, charred oak and spicy tobacco.
