Matured for 18 months in a combination of new and older American and French oak hogsheads.
Deep dark red black colour with dark red hue. The nose is a little subdued with aromas of liquorice, dark cherries, earth and spice emerging. Soft and fleshy the palate has moderately concentrated flavours of blackberries and liquorice over some spicy vanillin oak. Very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice and spicy toasted vanillin oak.
