Matured in 100% French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red black hue. Youthful plummy, liquorice like aromas are followed by some subtle inkiness and lightly toasted oak. Medium to full bodied with a joosy mouthfeel the palate has flavours of inky dark plum and liquorice followed by some spicy toasted oak. Slightly dryish on the finish with very fine grained tannins. Moderate aftertaste of inky plum, liquorice and spicy toasty oak.
