Very deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of violets overlay blackcurrant, smoky cedar, tobacco and spice. Medium weight the palate possesses good richness with flavours of blackcurrant and dark cherries to the fore over some vanillin cedar like characters, tobacco and spice. Sturdy but very fine grained tannins show excellent integration. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, dark cherries, vanillin cedar and spicy tobacco.
