Riesling vines were first planted as part of Henry Best’s ‘Nursery Block’ vineyard in the 1860’s. Then from subsequent plantings in 1944 and 1978, Riesling has become a significant varietal at Best's.

A zesty and spirited example from a stand out season for Riesling.

Brilliant very pale straw almost water like colour with watery hue. The nose exhibits excellent intensity with lifted top notes of lemon and lime dominate followed by some talc and mineral end notes. Showing excellent concentration the palate boasts mouthfilling flavours of lime, citrus and orange rind followed by a touch of talc. Clean crisp minerally finish with long lime, citrus and orange rind aftertaste.
Drink now or cellar 5-8 years (2011-2019).
Alc 11.5%

Other Reviews....
Light straw-green; fragrant, floral/blossom aromas are followed by an exceptionally intense palate, with wonderful drive to its lime, lemon and apple fruit; has revelled in the cool conditions. Screwcap.
