Matured for 12 months in a combination of French and American oak.
Opaque black dark red colour with a dark crimson red hue. Top notes of blackcurrants and mulberries are overlaid by a hint of bay leaf with cedar and spice following. Medium bodied with a soft elegant mouthfeel the palate features flavours of blackcurrants intermixed with blackcurrants over lightly toasted vanillin cedar and spice. Very fine grained tannins. Medium to long blackcurrant, ripe dark cherry and spicy toasted vanillin cedar aftertaste.
