2010 Voyager Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

A classic rendition of Margaret River Cabernet featuring all the hallmarks of the region and varietal – complexity, elegance and balanced richness.

Matured for 19 months in combination of 50% new and 50% two year old fine grained French oak.

Opaque dark red black tinged colour with a dark crimson red hue. A complex array of blackcurrant and mulberry aromas intertwined with cedary tobacco characters and bay leaf escape from the glass followed by traces of black olive and spicy cedar. A very sophisticated and classy sniff. Medium bodied the palate shows great poise in the way it balances its richness against an elegant structure and mouthfeel. Ripe blackcurrant, mulberry and dark cherry flavours fill the palate with background nuances of cedary tobacco characters, bay leaf and spicy cedar. Harmonious, perfectly integrated fine grained tannins provide the structure. Excellent length with a long conclusion of blackcurrant infused with mulberries, cedary tobacco characters, bay leaf and spicy cedar.
