2010 Vina Olabarri Rioja Gran Reserva

A blend of 80% Tempranillo, 12% Graciano and 8% Mazuelo matured for 24 months in French and American oak. Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. Elevated black cherry, liquorice and new leather aromas are followed by old vanillin cedar, light earth and spice. Medium weight with an elegant supple mouthfeel the palate features flavours of dark and black cherries as well as liquorice over earthy old vanillin cedar, a touch of leather and spice. Excellent balance between the acidity and finely grained tannins. Good length with an aftertaste of dark to black cherries, liquorice, old vanillin cedar, earthy leather characters and spice.
