The HVD Vineyard was planted in 1908. Bright straw colour with watery hue. The nose displays delicate aromas of white peach, melon, biscuit and light cashew with a faint hint of nougat as an end note. Medium to full bodied with good texture. The palate displays flavours of white peach, citrus and cashew, followed by some lingering toasty characters on the back palate. Clean, dry finish with long aftertaste of white peach, spice and toasty bacon fat like characters. Matured in French oak casks, 30% of which were new.
