2010 Twelftree Blewitt Springs Shiraz

Sourced from 22 year old vines and matured for 18 months in new French oak puncheons. Totally opaque inky black colour with a dark crimson red black tinged hue. Nosing reveals ripe dark plum top notes followed by some liquorice and a hint of black cherry with some underlying vanillin cedar and spice. Very rich and full the palate has a plush voluptuously textured feel delivering ripe dark plum and blackberry flavours that flood the mouth. Nuances of liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice follow. Silky smooth tannins. Excellent concentration and depth with a long ripe dark plum, blackberry, liquorice and spicy vanillin cedar aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
