2010 Tait Basket Pressed Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red black tinged hue. The nose delivers wonderful aromatic intensity with scents of liquorice allsorts, ripe blackberry and dark chocolate overlaid by some mocha with a spicy vanillin oak background. Full bodied with a rich lush mouthfeel the palate boasts an abundance of decadently rich liquorice, ripe blackberry and dark chocolate flavours intermeshed with vanillin oak and some spice on the back palate. Relatively firm but well concealed tannins take nothing away from the palates sheer opulence. Excellent length with a long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry, dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak.
Cellar 5-6 years.
