2010 Signatory Vintage Orkney (HP) 14 Year Old 100 Proof Edition #30 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A rather old-world sherried HP which one taster describes as "delicious raw Highland Park". Others report that as the bottle empties, the whisky oxidises into a beautiful full-sherried style with some resemblance to Springbank. Consensus suggests a very good buy, especially considering the price/quality ratio, so long as you can tolerate a bit of sulphur. 57.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Other reviews... It took me a while to find the sweet spot with water, as I find it a bit too sharp in terms of alcohol when drunk neat. But at just under 50% I get a wonderfully roasted, herbal sherry whisky with lovely moments of dried fruit and a hint of snuff. Not too intrusive from the cask.
