Matured for 22 months in French oak. Impenetrable midnight black dark red colour with a dark red black hue. Aromas of cassis, liquorice and choc mint are followed by vanillin cedar, faint earth and spice. Full bodied the palate is filled with juicy ripe blackcurrant and liquorice flavours which meld into some choc mint, earthy vanillin cedar and spice. Opulent mouthfeel finishing slightly dryish with a sturdy chewy tannin structure. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, infusions of mint, liquorice, chocolatey vanillin cedar and spicy earth.
