Matured for 27 months in new French oak hogsheads this wine displays an impenetrable black core with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Nosing reveals an elevated aromatic profile of liquorice, dark plums and choc mint over vanillin cedar and spice. The big, rich, full bodied palate has lavishly textured flavours of liquorice, dark plum and blackberries filling the mouth over nuances of vanillin cedar, choc mint and spice. Firm yet velvet like tannins with a long spicy aftertaste of dark plums, liquorice, vanillin cedar and subtle choc mint.
