Made from the same selection of fruit as the standard Brunello di Montalcino the only difference between the wines is the maturation process with the Altero being aged entirely in tonneaux for 24 months with a further two years bottle age.

I love the subtle aromas of rose petal, dark fruit and perfume that follow through to a full body, with fine tannins and a beautiful finish. It's very fine and pretty. Savory and delicate. Such finesse here. Drink or hold.
