Totally opaque inky black colour with very deep dark crimson red black hue. Pronounced liquorice, ripe blackberry and black cherry aromas arise from the glass followed by some toasty vanillin oak, a hint of earth and spice. Full bodied the palate boasts an abundance of rich opulent, liquorice and blackberry flavours with underlying toasty vanillin oak, dark chocolate, a hint of meatiness and spice. Plush fleshy texture with silky smooth tannins. Superb power and persistence with long aftertaste of liquorice, ripe blackberries, vanillin oak, subtle dark chocolate and spice.
Drink over the next 6-8 years (2014-2022).
