2010 Patrick of Coonawarra Grande Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in French oak for 40 months. Totally opaque black dark red core with a deep dark red hue. The olfactory senses are filled with intense ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and bay leaf aromas followed by vanillin cedar, earth, a hint of leather and spice. Rich, opulent and fleshy the ripe blackcurrant and liquorice fruit still retains a sense of elegance over a back drop of prominent vanillin cedar, earth, bay leaf and traces of spicy leather. Firm yet very polished tannins are well integrated and have a velvety feel. A long plush aftertaste completes this very powerful Coonawarra Cabernet.
