2010 Oliver's Taranga Vineyards DJ Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque black dark red colour with a very dark brick red hue. The nose displays aromas of blackcurrants intermixed with some liquorice and dark chocolate over a backdrop of vanillin cedar and spice. Full and rich with a voluptuous mouthfeel the palate features dark fruit flavours of very ripe blackcurrant, dark chocolate and dark plum followed by liquorice and spicy vanillin oak. Velvet smooth tannins. Long dark chocolate, liquorice, vanillin oak and spice aftertaste. A big ripe Cabernet that lacks varietal character.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
