Matured in French oak for 18 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with deep very dark red black hue. Nosing offers up intense aromas of ripe blackberry and liquorice as top notes followed by some ripe plum, subtle cedar and spice. Luscious ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum flavours swamp the palate giving the wine a very plush velvety mouthfeel with some spice on the back palate. Silky smooth tannin structure. Medium to long ripe blackberry, liquorice and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
