2010 Lopez Cristobal Tinto Reserva

A blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Merlot. Opaque inky black colour with a deep crimson purple black tinged hue. The nose is a touch closed at first but as the wine warms in the glass aromas of black cherries and liquorice evolve followed by some vanillin cedar, dried meats and spice. Medium to full bodied with plenty of richness the palate offers up flavours of black cherries and liquorice followed by some dried meats, subtle leather and spice. Dryish finish with chewy tannins. Long aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, chewy leather and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
