Kurtz Family Vineyards are fourth generation Barossan grape growers and vignerons of German descent. Wine maker Steve Kurtz has significant access to old vine fruit including the original vines which were planted in the 1930’s along with vineyards planted in the fifties and sixties. The 2010 Boundary Row Shiraz is made from estate grown fruit from vines that vary in age from 10 to 45 years old with the resultant wine being matured in a mixture of new (15%) and older (85%) French and American oak hogsheads for 32 months.

‘Bursting with fruit this is a succulent and irresistibly drinkable Barossa Shiraz’

Totally opaque inky black dark crimson colour with deep dark crimson black hue. Pronounced liquorice, blackberry and dark chocolate aromas overlay a vanillin oak and spice background. Rich and fully ripe the palate decks out an abundance of blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate flavours wrapped up in a soft supplely textured mouthfeel finishing with a back drop of vanillin oak, mocha and spice. Rich and voluptuous with silky smooth tannins. Excellent depth with long liquorice, dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak aftertaste. Limited Stocks.
Drink this sumptuous succulently textured beauty over the next 4-5 years (2018-2019).
Alc 15.0%
